On the occasion of the repeated deaths of people of Somali origin in German police and prison as well as the lack of support for Somali immigrants, United Action Women and Girls e.V. organized a solidarity demonstration in front of the Federal Chancellery. It included and includes demands for independent investigations into the deaths, better asylum protection and immediate family reunification, as well as better protection in access to childcare and housing. She was supported by the nationwide refugee network We’ll Come United, the Refugee Council Berlin, borderline-europe – Human Rights Without Borders e.V., the Lehniner Institute for Art and Culture e.V. and others.
